The Creative City Network of Canada is pleased to publish Crenewsletter.jpgeative City News, a free monthly e-Newsletter which provides news from CCNC members and information on current events and activities in communities across Canada and abroad. The CCNC also publishes Creative City News Special Edition Newsletters, which move beyond our monthly electronic bulletin to cover pressing issues in the field of arts, culture, and community development. Each of the six Special Edition Newsletters published to date tackles a broad theme and highlights the latest research developments; past Newsletter topics include: Creating Economic and Social Benefits for Communities, Nurturing Culture and Creativity to Build Community, as well as Exploring the Cultural Dimensions of Sustainability.

Available to memnewsletters.jpgbers and the general public, the Special Edition Newsletters help in making the case for culture with decision-makers and elected officials. All six of the Newsletters are available for viewing online or for purchase as full-colour printed broadsheet documents. The most recent, Revitalizing Rural Communities Through Arts and Culture, highlights the key points from our recent research project on rural cultural development and includes strategies and useful project profiles to help promote cultural development in rural communities.
